No proposals will be requested or accepted with this synopsis. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS NOTICE. Any requests for a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored. The Regional Health Contract Office-Central, Fort Hood Health Contracting Branch Fort Hood, Texas is issuing this sources sought synopsis on behalf of Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center (CRDAMC), Fort Hood Texas. This sources sought is issued as a means of conducting market research to identify parties that have an interest in the resources to support this requirement, full maintenance services for the government owned Sterrad Plasma Sterilizing units. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform preventative maintenance, unscheduled repairs as defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS), except for those items specified as Government furnished property and services. Contact with Government Personnel, other than the Contract Specialist identified at the bottom of this notice, by any potential offeror, or their employees’, regarding this requirement is strictly prohibited. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of various members of the Small Business Community to include Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUB-Zone), Women-Owned Small Business, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), as well as the interest, capabilities and qualifications of various members of the Large Business community, to compete and perform a Firm Fixed Price Contract for these supplies. The type of solicitation to issue will depend upon the responses to this sources sought synopsis. The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of responsive contractors. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 811219, “Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance”. The Small Business Size Standard is $22M. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to 1) provide services consistent in scope and scale with those described in this notice and otherwise anticipated; and 2) provide services under a performance based service acquisition contract.
