This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, “Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items”, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested. The solicitation document PANRSA-20-P-0000 011804 is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-95, Effective 31 May 2018 (updated with Class Deviation 2018-00007). This is a Firm Fixed Price type contract. This is also a Small Business Set-Aside and only responses from small businesses will be reviewed. This requirement is for (2) Universal Measuring Machines and on-site setup and training delivered to TSC Corpus Christie, TX and TSC Japan, Sagami Depot (delivered to Redstone Arsenal, AL for tagging, then shipped to TSC Japan). See the attached Minimum Use Specifications and Performance Work Statement for the requirement specifications. Award will be made to the lowest price, technically acceptable, responsive, responsible offeror. Offers must comply with all specifications listed in the Minimum Use Specifications. Offerors shall provide concise written response as to how the manufacturer’s product meets each specification identified in the Minimum Use Specification. Vendors submitting a response to any RFQ that includes a requirement for supplies and/or services that have incurred, or that may incur laps in maintenance support, shall include as part of its response any applicable reinstatement fee(s). All items shall be delivered upon the stated delivery date in the contract and shipped FOB Destination to the following locations: Corpus Christie Army Depot 540 First Street, SE Bldg 1846 Corpus Christi, TX 78419-5211 2. Building 5437 Metrology Drive Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898 Early delivery is authorized at no additional cost to the Government. The Army Contracting Command - Redstone, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama 35898 on behalf of the U.S. Army Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment Activity (USATA) hereby issues the following Sources Sought/Request for Information (RFI) to ascertain the level of interest of potential vendors desiring to contract for procurement of: (1) Universal Measuring Machine to calibrate various dimensional gages including rings, plugs, pins, threads & etc., including all shipping charges, the base instrument, computer system, software, typical probes and accessories, and on-site setup and training delivered to TSC Corpus Christie, TX. Mahr Federal ULM 600E or Pratt & Whitney Labmaster Universal 175, NSN# 5220-01-552-0751 are brand models needed. The measuring machine specifications are minimum measurement range external 0-20”, internal 0.02-14” with basic accuracy of at least ± (4 + 0.5L) ?” where L is in inches. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY – This RFI is released pursuant to FAR 15.201(e). It is issued solely for information and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Army is not seeking proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals.
