The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Redstone is issuing this sources sought synopsis in accordance with FAR 15.201(e) as a means of PLANNING PURPOSES and MARKET RESEARCH ONLY to identify parties having an interest in and the resources that are capable of providing one (1) Radiation Calibration System Development (Neutron). The applicable North American Industry Classification System code assigned to this procurement is 334515, Instrument Manufacturing for Measuring and Testing Electricity and Electrical Signals. This sources sought shall not be construed as a request for quote(RFQ), or request for proposal (RFP), or as an obligation forcommitment on the part of the Government to acquire any productor service. There shall be no basis for claims against theGovernment as a result of the information submitted inresponse to this sources sought announcement. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of thisannouncement or otherwise pay for any information submitted by respondents to this request. Should a requirement arise, the fullrequirement will be detailed in the solicitation, if issued. Submission of any information in response to this market survey is purelyvoluntary; the Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. All costs associated with responding to thisSources Sought will be solely at the interested parties’ expense. This is a new requirement and all responsible sources may submita capability statement, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. All offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Requirement Statement: The Government seeks white papers regarding their capabilities, past similar experience and technical approach in support of the procurement of one Radiation Calibration System Development (Neutron). The response should include the following: (1) Company information to include: Company name; size of company; cage code; point of contact to include phone number and email address (2) Experience: Provide a list of recent relevant contracts (same or similar in nature of work, size and complexity to include contract number). Purpose and Limitations: The Government’s intent is to better understand the current capabilities and strategies to determine the best solution. Industry feedback is vitally important and the Government will be receptive to any and all ideas. Proprietary information is neither solicited nor prohibited; however, if submitted, it should be appropriately marked. Please limit formal white paper submissions to no more than 10 pages and must be unclassified. Electronic submissions are strongly encouraged. All items must be in Microsoft Office 2003 or later format or Adobe PDF format. Not responding to this sources sought does not preclude participation in any future RFQ or RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the SAM.gov website. It is the responsibility of any potential offeror to monitor SAM.gov for additional information pertaining to this requirement.
