Army Contracting Command – Rock Island (ACC-RI) is looking for interested vendors that can provide a Vendor Management Inventory (VMI) system to support Rock Island Arsenal-Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center’s (RIA-JMTC) Tool and Fixture Design department. All interested vendors are encouraged to provide evidence of their capabilities and offered products that best fit the identified needs. RIA-JMTC is located on the Mississippi River in Rock Island, IL. RIA-JMTC is the only multi-purpose and vertically integrated metal manufacturer in the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). RIA-JMTC encompasses more than 3 million square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space, over 1000 machining centers, and the only active foundry in the U. S. Army. RIA-JMTC’s mission is to support the Nation with world class manufactured products and services. The Government defines Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) as a managing contract account in accordance with generally accepted VMI practices, which optimizes supply chain performance. This includes, but limited to, the resupply of designated items by the vendor through regularly scheduled reviews of on-site inventory counts, removal of damaged or outdated goods, and the re-stocking of inventory to predetermined levels at their specified locations. Please see the attached draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) and item list. The Government estimates this opportunity to result in a 5-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract valued at $1.4 Million over the life of the contract. Location of performance will be Rock Island Arsenal, Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center (RIA-JMTC), located in Rock Island, Illinois. At a minimum, interested vendors shall provide the following information with their response: - Company Name w/POC Name and contact information (Name, Phone, and Email). - Company DUNS Number / Cage Code. - Company Capabilities and available products that best fit our requirement. - Company experience with VMI type accounts. - Description of services offered/available. - Estimated start up time. - If applicable, suggestions to the attached Draft PWS such as ways to improve and enhance effectiveness of a VMI for RIA-JMTC. - Rough Order of Magnitude for services offered.
