U.S. Army Contracting Command – New Jersey, Joint Armaments Division (CCNJ-JA) on behalf of Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) Armaments Center has a requirement for one Medium Size Vibration System. The U.S. Army intends to satisfy this requirement by soliciting, negotiating, and awarding a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Unholtz-Dickie Corporation, 6 Brookside Dr., Wallingford, CT 06492-1893, CAGE Code 15580. The Vibration System consists of: Air Cooled Electrodynamic shaker with 3-inch displacement, External shaker air cooling blower, DC Field Power Supply, Class D High Efficiency Power Amplifier, interface cables, Remote Panel, and Magnesium Head Expander with Operating Voltage of 480 volt 3 phase corner grounded delta. The Contractor shall deliver equipment, and provide on-site installation to include rigging, electrical, and plumbing, in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW) requirement. The authority being utilized for the proposed effort is 10 United States Code (U.S.C.) Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The resultant contract shall be a firm fixed price, commercial contract. The NAICS code for this effort is 334519 and the small business size standard is 500 Employees. Unholtz-Dickie Corporation is currently the sole manufacturer and distributor that can meet the size requirements for a Medium Size (18,000 lbs.), 100% Air Cooled Shaker.
