See the attachment for further information requested for the sources sought: We are looking for small business concerns capable and interested in competing for the below project: PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project is to construct two additional parallel rail spurs in Camp Funston, Fort Riley, Kansas. Primary facilities include new track (sized to hold 50 rail cars total) with concrete loading and unloading docks at one end. Spur will connect to existing track with switches. Supporting facilities include storm drainage and site improvements, and demolition. LOCATION: The site is within the controlled perimeter of Camp Funston located approximately three miles north east of the Fort Riley Main Post. There are no fences or gates that surround the railhead site. The site is currently surfaced with approximately 6 inches of crushed limestone that is densely compacted on top of soil. The crushed limestone is underlain by several feet of clay. There are currently eight existing spurs and three double railhead loading docks and two single railhead loading docks. There are also two concrete side loading docks on existing Spur 704.
