The 187th Fighter Wing intends to issue an Invitation for Bids per guidance at FAR Part 14 and 36 in order to award a single firm fixed-price contract to replace existing swing arm gates and install new automated exit gates at the 226th CBCG and 232nd CBCS located in Montgomery, Alabama. The work will consist of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and travel to the worksite. This project is being managed from the 187th Civil Engineer Squadron (187th CES) and 187th Contracting offices located at Montgomery Air National Guard Base. A contracting officer’s representative (COR) will be designated at the 187th CES. All security requirements for working on a military installation will be followed. The tentative date for issuing the solicitation is on-or-about July 15, 2022. The tentative date for the pre-bid site visit is on-or-about July 27, 2022. The location of the site visit is 3102 Thomason Avenue, Montgomery AL. Interested parties are highly encouraged to attend and shall follow registration and base access requirements shown in the solicitation. All questions concerning the site visit should be submitted via email to wesley.ward@us.af.mil. The bid opening date is tentatively scheduled for on-or-about August 16, 2021. Actual dates and times will be identified in the solicitation. Interested offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). To register go to www.sam.gov. The solicitation and all associated plans and specifications will be available only from the Government Point of Entry (GPE) at the website www.sam.gov. The contract duration is 90 days after NTP. This project is set aside 100% for Small Business. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 238290, with a size standard of $16,500,000.00. The magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000.
