This is a SOURCES SOUGHT notice. This is not a request for proposals, bids, or price quotations. This is for research and planning purposes only. If any solicitations for the referenced services were to be issued in the future, it would be under this announcement. The New Jersey Air National Guard (NJANG) is seeking to identify interested small businesses that can supply a breathable air filtration system used for aircraft fuel tank entry and confined spaces. It is intended that the NJANG will enter into firm fixed price contract with a small business able to provide the required products described in the product description. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION A breathable air filtration system for aircraft fuel tank entry and working in confined spaces is required for the NJANG in accordance with the following requirements: 1. The system must be portable, mobile and suitable for use for hangar, flight line and TDY purposes. 2. The system must be compatible with existing 108th air hangar compressors or mobile aerospace ground equipment (AGE) compressors. 3. The system provided must include at a minimum 20 high pressure respirators. 4. The respirators provided must have anti-fog lenses. 5. The system must produce Class D filtered air. 6. The system must be equipped with an alarm notifying personnel when backup air is being utilized. 7. The system must be equipped with an oxygen bottle with no less than 45 minutes of backup air in the event of compressor failure. 8. The system and all components must meet industry standards for safety and mobility. 9. Included respirators must be designed to handle high volumes of air (high pressure) to fuel tank entrants to combatant hose kinks and bacterial build up. 10. The system must include a single point moving attachment where the airline meets the face of the respirator. 11. Vendor shall provide one year worth of filters, gaskets, and O-rings to facilitate maintenance done by 108th personnel. HOW TO RESPOND This requirement is set aside for small businesses. In the event adequate small business contractors are not available for adequate competition for this project, it may be advertised as unrestricted.
