The Vermont Army National Guard, VT-PFO-PC, is conducting market research to gain information on the availability of vendors with both capability to provide and interest in providing a youth summer camp experience for fifty-six youths between the ages of ten and seventeen years of age, from July 4-9 2021. The camp would be required to offer swimming, boating, archery, hiking and camping, arts and crafts, team building, fly-fishing, wetland ecology, firearm and archery safety and other conservation activities. Campers should also have the opportunity to obtain a Vermont Hunters Safety Certification during the camp week for firearm and archery. Youth should have the opportunity to build a mobile habitat to take home to include but not limited to bat houses, bird houses or something of that nature. Due to the geographic dispersion of military youth within the southern region of Vermont, a camp site located in Rutland County is a must. VT-PFO-PC’s believes that the State of Vermont may be the only entity with both the capability to provide and the interest in providing the required services. The purpose of this posting is to determine whether there are other service providers both capable of providing the camp services and interested in doing so at the relevant time.
