The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to conduct market research for the subject anticipated requirement. This notice is for planning purposes only - it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a promise to issue n RFQ in the future. All interested parties should respond. The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. Results of this Sources Sought Notice will be used to determine potential levels of competition available in the industry, and establish an acquisition strategy, whether full and open, small business set-aside or sole source. ANTICIPATED REQUIREMENT DESCRIPTION: The 109th Airlift Wing, Scotia, NY has interest in acquiring a towable, Air Force approved Continuous Friction Measuring Equipment (CFME) (one single unit) as well training on the operation and maintenance of the selected piece of equipment. Air Force Technical Order (T.O.) 33-1-23 lists the Air Force Approved CFME as follows: Equipment Name: - Airport Surface Friction Tester - MU Meter - BV-11 Skiddometer - Griptester Friction Tester - Runar Runway Analyser and Recorder - Runway Friction Tester (6810, 6850, and 6875) - NAC Dynamic Friction Tester - Sarsys Friction Tester (SFT) - Sarsys Trailer Friction Tester (STFT) - Sarsys SUV Friction Tester (SSUV) Since the CFME listed above have already been approved, the 109th is ONLY seeking information on these particular items. REQUESTED INFORMATION: The 109th is seeking to learn the capabilities of each brand of towable CFME in order to determine what features are available and what might work best for this location. The 109th is only interested in towable units. Along with their company name and CAGE Code, interested contractors are requested to provide the specifications/ features of the equipment they can provide, whether they can provide on-site training on operation/ maintenance, and their business size status (i.e. large, small, veteran owned, etc.).
