THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) intends to award a sole source basis in accordance FAR 13.106-1 with George Mason University (GMU), Fairfax, VA. as the only responsible source that can provide specialized and optimized antibacterial compounds, in support of the Bacterial Disease Branch (BDB) at Walter Reed Institute of Research (WRAIR) located in Silver Spring MD. This acquisition is being conducted under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and Commercial Services. Provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2023-04 are incorporated.
