The contractor shall install 80 cable drops throughout WRAIR on an as-need basis, during each year of the period of performance, scheduled through the COR (400 total). The average distance of each cable drop is 175 feet' in length. The cable drops will be routed from designated communication's closets to designated office spaces within various buildings at WRAIR. Each horizontal cable run will be routed above drop-ceilings using cable existing raceways, J-hooks, and 0-rings. All wall and ceiling penetrations must be sealed with fire-stop material. Single gang attachment base, duplex wall plates, inserts, and RJ-45 modular jacks will be installed in each office. Office drops will be fished inside the wall and terminated at the RJ-45 modular jack. In the communications closet all cable drops will be terminated on existing 48 port patch panels. Of the 80 cable drops, approximately 60 of those drops can be fished inside the wall. The remaining 20 cable drops will require wiremold. Contractor should anticipate 20 sticks of wiremold and 20 surface mount boxes.
