The Joint Personal Property Shipping Office Mid - Atlantic (JPPSO-MA) has a requirement for Sign Language Interpreter services. There is a hearing-impaired employee at JPPSO-MA that needs sign language interpreting services. Without interpreting services, the employee is unable to participate in necessary training events and meetings or receive information that is essential to performance of the employee assigned tasks. As a result, the employee has limited opportunities to cross-train and/or advance in their career field. This also limits the organization’s opportunities to best utilize this hearing- impaired employee to meet varying workload requirements. The contractor shall perform to the standards in this contract.
