Yuma Proving Ground (YPG) has a requirement for purchase for Phase Array Ultrasonic system that shall be used to conduct precision thickness measurements and detect precisely bore surface stress corrosion cracks, mid-wall cracks, time of flight crack sizing, and total focusing method on steel & composite gun barrels and self-propelled vehicle structure welds. This system will support the non-destructive testing (NDT) capability of the Metrology & Simulation Division. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
