The purpose of this contract is to train on the risks associated with frequent travel over or near water by providing pilots, aircrew, and essential passengers with basic pre-flight, in-flight, and post aircraft-ditching knowledge and survival skills to include use of Emergency Breathing Devices (EBD). The course will cover the content (academic and hands-on) required for compliance with AR 95-1. The training will include presentation on hazards, equipment, and procedures associated with over-water flight, pre-ditching procedures and landing considerations, basic underwater escape utilizing the SWET (Shallow Water Egress Trainer), and the use of the emergency breathing system during an underwater escape.
