In 2010, Fort Leonard Wood established its sustainability vision using the IMCOM Installation Strategic Sustainability Plan (ISSP) process. The resulting plan defines long-term goals, supporting objectives and action plans as a means for defining the path forward which are integrated into the Installation Strategic Plan overseen by the Garrison Commander. Fort Leonard Wood’s goal is to optimize performance with respect to Mission, Community, Environment, and Cost/Economic Benefit. In pursuing its goals, Fort Leonard Wood will achieve Net Zero energy use, water consumption, and waste as means to secure the installation for current and future missions. Based on the current plan, Fort Leonard Wood will focus on developing actions and initiatives that influence the mission, quality of life, and resource consumption patterns throughout the installation. Fort Leonard Wood has established six (6) planning Lines of Effort (LOE) consisting of stakeholder teams to further refine and accomplish long-term installation sustainability and resiliency. The LOE teams consist of stakeholders such as personnel from the installation Directorates; from the Army Maneuver Support Center of Excellence and the Army schools of Engineers, Military Police, Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear, and Prime Power; other installation tenants and activities; and community members. The Contractor shall provide a Sustainability Report that documents the planning activity to develop, execute, implement, and promote sustainability and resiliency on and throughout Fort Leonard Wood (and where applicable, with the surrounding community). This contract will be a culmination of tasks that are executed in order to develop the contents for and deliver this Report.
