NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Carson, Colorado intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with Warehouse Options, Inc., 7765 Venture St., Colorado Springs, CO, 80951 for the purchase of currently leased storage containers already on site at the Evans Army Hospital (EACH), at Fort Carson, Colorado. Warehouse Options is the only vendor who can provide the containers, due to current storage situation of temperature controlled Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for COVID-19, and other disasters and pandemics. The Government is currently leasing the containers. The containers are currently storing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which cannot be stored off post. The containers are also temperature controlled; removal of the electrical grids would result in the extensive loss of PPE and other stored materials. This is sole source procurement using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The statutory authority for the sole source procurement is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). This notice is not a request for competitive quotes, however; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by 12:00 pm (MST) March 9, 2021. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed below. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Warehouse Options, Inc. Requirements: Purchase of existing containers.
