This synopsis is to make available a notice of proposed contract action as required by FAR 5.201. The Government intends to issue a solicitation, W912DY-19-R-XXXX, in May 2019. PROJECT DESCRIPTION Project Title: DoDEA Europe (Bahrain & Naples) UPS Upgrade Project Location: JUFFAIR BAHRAIN BH / Naples Elementary School, Naples The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Engineering and Support Center (CEHNC) requires a contract to support the Department of Defense Education Activity (DODEA) Europe for Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Upgrade Warranty Services located in Naples, Italy and Bahrain. DODEA Information Technology (IT) Division has routers, switches, servers, and VOIP equipment at designated facilities throughout the world. The devices in some cases are connected to various models of UPSs to protect the agency's IT infrastructure investment as well as secure student and staff digital work and applications under abnormal power conditions. Power fluctuations, whether planned or unplanned, are a routine occurrence at the campus level. When these interruptions occur, DODEA must have a reliable solution in place which will provide sufficient off-line power to ensure the graceful shutdown of significant IT Infrastructure systems. In this case we do not have a UPS solution for the school, we need more of a centralized approach for our schools' UPS capabilities, design solutions, and warranty services. The solicitation will be an unrestricted competitive acquisition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811213 - Communication Equipment Repair and Maintenance and the size standard is $11M.
