All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The United States Army Health Contracting Activity, Medical Readiness Contracting Office - West, at JBSA Fort Sam Houston, Texas, is requesting information and conducting market research to identify and determine if there are potential sources which have the capabilities to provide the requirements specified herein. As part of its market research, MRCO-W is issuing this Sources Sought to determine if there exists an adequate number of qualified interested contractors capable of providing dental handpieces and dental delivery unit upgrades that meet the below salient characteristics: (a) Dental Handpieces Direct Drive (1:1) transmission For Latch Type Burrs Electric Motor with speed up to 20,000 rpm Internal air/water coolant, as necessary Push button auto chuck Compatible with intralux heads for restoration, hygiene, endodontics, and microsurgery Allow for access and maximum precision for all procedures Easily integrate with lux heads. (b) Dental Delivery Unit Upgrade Must be able to upgrade and integrate hardware onto existing A-Dec dental delivery unit model 532 Must include on-site vendor installation, with delivery Brochure and manuals with specifications and requirements for cleaning/maintenance of equipment The Government may use the responses to this Sources Sought for information and planning purposes. This Sources Sought is only for the purpose of identifying potential sources as part of MRCO-W market research. No solicitation for this requirement exists at the time of posting for this Sources Sought Notice; please do not request a copy of a solicitation. Responses to this Sources Sought are not quotes on which MRCO-W can issue any contract. This Sources Sought is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not itself constitute a RFP or RFQ. The Government does not intend to award a contract vehicle based only on responses to this Sources Sought. All information marked “proprietary” that is received in response to this Sources Sought will be protected and handled accordingly. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. Responses to the Sources Sought will not be returned. Respondents are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this Sources Sought. The Government will not pay for information received in response to this Sources Sought. Respondents shall not submit pricing information in Sources Sought. Interested sources shall provide a response detailing their capability to provide the requirement specified herein.
