DESCRIPTION OF WORK. This contract is a non-personal services contract under which the personnel rendering the services are not subject, either by the contract's terms or by the manner of its administration, to the supervision and control usually prevailing in relationships between the government and its employees. The Contractor shall provide the non-personal services ofone (1) full-time (1.0) equivalent (FTE) research coordinator (RC) and (1) part time equivalent (PTE) statistician for the Center for the Intrepid (CFI) at San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) as required by this Performance Work Statement (PWS) and in accordance with the terms and conditions of this contract. The primary performance location is at the Center for the Intrepid at the Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Services shall be provided as required by this performance work statement (PWS) and in accordance with the terms and conditions of this PWS and any resulting contract. The contract research coordinator (RC) and statistician shall abide by MTF rules, regulations and bylaws, including the medical staff bylaws and applicable standing operating procedures (SOP) established by the MTF. Tasks to be performed shall be IAW accepted professional clinical practice and the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, BAMC, and shall not exceed the training and experience of, or professional privileges granted by the MTF to the contract research coordinator and statistician.
