The Regional Health Contracting Office-Central (RHCO-C) is issuing this sources sought as a means of conducting market research to identify potential sources having an interest and industry technologies available to provide Neurosurgical Implants and Supplies for Spine Surgery for Brooke Army Medical Center, JBSA Fort Sam Houston, TX 78234. The results of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement, if a requirement materializes. Based on the responses to this sources sought notice/market research, this requirement may be set-aside for small businesses (in full or in part) or procured through full and open competition. A single award may be made. All small business set-aside categories will be considered. REQUIRED CAPABILITIES The Government requires Neurosurgical Implants and Supplies for Spine Surgery. The intent of this sources sought is to assess the state-of-the art of the technology available in X-Ray imaging systems that could be applied to meet this requirement. The Government envisions Neurosurgical Implants and Supplies for Spine Surgery that meets the following requirements: 1. Must be spine implants for Anterior, Posterior, Transforaminal, Lateral, and Oblique techniques covering occiput, cervical, thoracic, lumbar spinal fusions. 2. Must provide an Occipito-Cervico-Thoracic Spinal System. 3. Must offer an Occipito-Cervico-Thoracic (OCT) Stabilization System that offers a variety of solutions to the challenges associated with posterior OCT fusion with a comprehensive range of instruments. 4. Must provide an anterior cervical plating system that consist of plates and variable or fixed angle screws. 5. Must provide an anterior cervical plating and cage system that is an integrated plate and spacer system that is designed to provide the biomechanical strength of a traditional ACDF. 6. The anterior cervical cages must be a cervical interbody fusion device made from either PEEK radiolucent polymer or titanium. 7. Must provide anterior cervical cages that are titanium plasma spray coated cervical interbody fusion device that combines radiolucency with a titanium interface to bone. 8. Must provide thoracic and lumbar pedicle screws that provide a thoracolumbar stabilization system with a full range of polyaxial screws, rods and connectors. 9. Must provide thoracic and lumbar pedicle screws that are intuitively designed for treating complex spinal pathologies within one system. 10. Spinal hardware connectors must be able to mate with existing implants to help lessen anatomic disruption, while saving significant implant costs. These items must be scalable and have the ability to add-on rod systems, allowing existing instrumentation to remain in place and form a rigid connection at the critical junction. 11. Must have a wide variety of unique spinal hardware connectors for linkage to other systems. 12. Must have minimally invasive system of percutaneous thoracic and lumbar pedicle screws. 13. Must have a posterior percutaneous stabilization system featuring extended screw heads and must also include hydroxyapatite coated and fenestrated options. 14. Must offer titanium plasma spray coated lumbar cages that allow radiographic visualization of implant position. 15. Must offer plasma spray coated lumbar cages that must be available in the same small and large footprints and in both standard and minimally invasive trajectories. 16. The holder for the lumbar cages must have a titanium spray coated surface that allows for radiolucency and allows for one step insertion and articulation. 17. Must offer expandable titanium lumbar cages that that minimizes insertion force, provides controlled distraction, and optimizes endplate-to-endplate fit with minimal impaction. 18. Must offer ALIF cages and plates that have an integrated plate and spacer system that helps preserve the natural sagittal anatomic profile. 19. Must offer spondylolisthesis reduction ALIF cages that are designed to specifically to correct spondylolithesis reduction (Grade 1). 20. Must offer a lumbar plating system that provides stabilization through a single lateral approach. 21. Must have anchoring and keying instruments that align the plate with the interbody device and vertebral body endplates. 22. Must offer a lumbar plating system that has a full range of implants and reliable, user-friendly instrumentation designed for simplicity and ease of use. 23. Must have lateral inner body cages that have PEEK radiolucent material with extensive instrumentation for lateral. 24. Must have lateral inner body cages that are fully contained within the disc space, minimizing disruption to patient anatomy. 25. Must have a screw design that compressively loads the graft to help promote fusion. 26. Must be able to provide equipment and surgical supplies that can range from minor neurological procedures to complex and convoluted surgical cases. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Any resulting contract shall be compliant with the specialty metals restriction of the Berry Amendment (10 U.S.C. 2533a and 2533b) in accordance with DFARS clauses 252.225- 7008 and 252.225-7009.
