This is a Sources Sought Notice ONLY. The U.S. Government currently intends to award a contract to provide Envision Flex Kits to be used with the government owned DAKO Envision FLEX pH detection system as needed to provide high staining quality. The Medical Readiness Contracting Office-West (MRCO-W) , is seeking vendors that may be able to supply this requirement to support a competitive procurement on behalf of Evans Army Community Hospital at Fort Carson, CO. Accordingly, the U.S. Government highly encourages all small socioeconomic category to participate if able. The proposed sole source action is for Firm Fixed Price contract with Time and Materials line item for repairs. The statutory authority for the sole source procurement is FAR 13.106(b)(1): For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), only one source reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization; no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any supply or service. Further, the U.S. Government is not seeking quotes, bids or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this source sought notice. The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. Submittals will not be returned to the responder. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. However, if a competitive solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Government wide Point of Entry, if applicable. The NAICS code is: 325413 In Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing Seeking only authorized DAKO Envision Flex Kits vendors. EnVision FLEX, High pH is a high-sensitivity visualization system intended for use in immunohistochemistry together with Autostainer Link instruments. The dual link system detects primary mouse and rabbit antibodies and the reaction is visualized by DAB+ Chromogen. The kit includes Peroxidase-Blocking Reagent, EnVision/HRP, DAB+ Chromogen, Substrate Buffer, Target Retrieval Solution, High pH (50x Tris/EDTA buffer, pH 9), and Wash Buffer (20x). EnVision FLEX kits are compatible with EnVision FLEX and FLEX+ single reagents for Autostainer Link instruments.
