This announcement will be used for preliminary planning purposes only and is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP), Invitation for Bid (IFB) nor the Solicitation. No proposal is being requested or accepted with the sources sought notice, and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineer, Detroit District is seeking information from firms, that have the capability to provide construction services for Muskegon Harbor North Revetment Repair. The work includes the following: The contract repairs will require/include removal and replacement of the reinforced concrete walkway, excavation, engineered fill to support replaced concrete panels, use of geotextile reinforcement, subgrade preparation, removal and replacement of railing posts to meet safety requirements, removal of any woody vegetation along repair area, replenishing and new riprap to match as built, and excavation and backfilling of sinkholes. Project repairs will include subgrade improvements to restrain the loss of material underneath the concrete walkway. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is contemplating to solicit this requirement as an Invitation for Bid (IBF) Full and Open Competition. However, the result of the market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement and feasible set-aside opportunities. Qualified Companies Are Encouraged to Respond The estimated time for completion of this requirement is One (1) Year. The contract is expected to be awarded around May 2024. The estimate cost of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990, which has small business size standard in $36.5 million of dollars.
