This procurement will be issued as a 100% Set-Aside for Small Businesses (SB) through RFP procedures under FAR 15 and other FAR Parts and Subparts as applicable. This is a Design/Build requirement for Building 41418 and Building 41420, both built in 1916. Building 41418 and Building 41420 are considered to be historically significant structures within the Fort Huachuca National Historic Landmark District. Project #1 Building 41418: The project is to provide a new fire sprinkler system for the entire building. The facility has an old fire alarm system that will not be modernized. Project #2 Building 41420: The project is to provide a new fire sprinkler system for the entire building. The facility has an old fire alarm system that will not be modernized. All work to be completed under RFP No. W9124A22R0015. The contractor shall provide design/build services and furnish all labor, material, equipment, supervision, transportation, permits, fees and licenses necessary to construct a sprinkler system for building 41418 and building 41420, both located at Fort Huachuca, AZ. The tentative date for issuing the RFP is on or around July 5, 2022; with proposals due 30 calendar days later on-or-around August 4, 2022 (the RFP will state the exact time/date that proposals are due). The anticipated contract award date is approximately 15 calendar days or less after receipt of proposals. The Contract Performance Period is 200 working days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Location of the work is at Building 41418 and Building 41420 Rhea Ave, Fort Huachuca, AZ 85613. NAICS Code 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction is applicable to this RFP solicitation and the Small Business Size Standard is $39.5M. The Construction Cost Range for this project (Magnitude of Construction) is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. You will have to park in the parking lot at the gate and go to the building and check in. Please allow yourself plenty of time so you can be on time for the Site Visit. TYPE OF CONTRACT: A firm-fixed-price contract is expected to be awarded. Note: Davis Bacon prevailing wages for Cochise County, AZ will apply. The Government intends to award (1) one contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation. It is determined that it is in the best interest of the Government to use lowest price technically acceptable source selection process for this requirement.
