The ASB is an independent advisory committee whose membership is composed of recognized experts drawn from industry, Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDC), National Laboratories, not-for-profit organizations, academia, who serve as Special Government Employees (SGE). The ASB Executive Directorate consists of government personnel whose sole function is to support the Board. The ASB Executive Director (ED) serves as the Designated Federal Officer (DFO) providing oversight of Board activities and ensuring compliance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) and the Government in the Sunshine Act. The Directorate receives administrative support and funding from the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology (ASA-ALT). The ASB Directorate requires contracted analytical and administrative support to enable the ASB’s annual study program as directed by the Secretary of the Army. The Contractor shall provide all non-personal services necessary to perform professional, analytical, and administrative services, to include the tasks of planning, preparation, execution, administrative support, logistics, and documentation for Subcommittee/Study Team meetings and conferences of the ASB as defined in the ASB Charter included as an attachment 1).
