Purpose-Built Attritable Systems (PBAS), Bomber Family of Systems Expansion
The U.S. Army is seeking industry input on expanding its Purpose-Built Attritable Systems (PBAS) program to include a family of bomber-class uncrewed aircraft for lethal and non-lethal effects at the tactical level. The desired systems must be attritable, low-cost, and capable of delivering droppable munitions, conducting reconnaissance, and supporting marsupial operations, with a maximum gross takeoff weight of 55 lbs. (Group 1 or 2). Performance should include an operational range of 20–40 km, modular payload integration (e.g., CLIK or Mallet), and the ability to operate in night/low-light conditions. No specific budget amount is provided, and the location for performance is not specified. Responses are due by 1000 EDT on 22 May 2026.
