A specified amount of barge/barges will be required to transport military equipment for training located within Alaska. The barge/barges will be used for large loads of equipment which may weigh up to 1,800,000 lbs. The barge/barges will be loaded at the Port of Anchorage, Alaska by military personnel and must be transported to Old Harbor, Alaska. The contracting company will ensure that all military equipment will be properly secured to prevent any shifting during the transport. Upon arrival at Old Harbor, Alaska, military personnel will unload equipment and transport the equipment at the designated facility prior to their military operation. The barge/barges will depart from Old Harbor after all equipment has been completely unloaded. The barge/barges should return back to Old Harbor for reloading of the equipment by the military personnel on-site. The barge/barges will transport back to Anchorage for unloading of equipment by military personnel. Questions are due by 9 May 2022. No questions will be anwsered after 9 May 2022.
