SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE (SSN) Purpose/Scope The Department of Defense (DoD) Space Test Program (STP) is a multi-service program supporting Army, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, and International space test missions. The DoD STP provides space access for science and technology experiments throughout the DoD. Customers include the DoD Laboratories, (e.g., Air Force Research Laboratory and Naval Research Laboratory), U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC), but the DoD STP works with any experimenter that has a DoD sponsor (e.g., universities, interagency cooperation, international partners). The DoD STP, located at Kirtland AFB, New Mexico is exploring small satellite hosting solutions for these science and technology experiments in support of space enterprise architecture. This Sources Sought Notice (SSN) is to explore potential sources of interested and qualified vendors capable of providing the capability as described in the attachment to this notice. Please refer to the attachment in this notice and provide responses in accordance with the instructions. This SSN is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute a solicitation (Request for Proposal or Request for Quotations) or a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. This SSN does not commit the DoD STP to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Furthermore, the DoD STP is not, at this time, seeking proposals. Respondents are advised that the DoD STP will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this SSN. The Government will not assume liability for costs incurred by any attendee for travel expenses or marketing efforts. All costs associated with responding to this SSN will be solely at the responding party's expense. All information received in response to this SSN that is marked PROPRIETARY will be handled accordingly. The DoD STP shall not be liable for or suffer any consequential damages for any proprietary information not properly identified. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable US DoD and Space Force regulations. The following companies/organizations may review the submitted SOC and may be in attendance at the Industry Day general session: The Aerospace Corporation, Tecolote Research, -- all are bound by appropriate non-disclosure agreements with the USAF/Space Force.
