The Government intends to procure, under only one responsible source, where no other product will satisfy the agency requirements. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Hawaii is seeking an alternate product comparable to the McGard Intimidator ManLock Manhole Lock Bolt manufactured by McGard. The alternate product must meet the following requirements/specifications: 1. Triple-nickel chrome plated lock to resist corrosion 2. Alloy steel heat treated to 150,000psi tensile strength 3. High Security 4. Controlled access using registered keys 5. Easily retro-fitted to existing cover 6. Non-corrosive protective caps This should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the U.S. Government to issue a solicitation. Interested parties with a comparable product meeting the requirements described in this announcement are invited to submit complete information and specifications. Any information provided to the Government in response to this request for information (RFI) will become U.S. Government property and will not be returned. Interested parties shall submit information and specifications to Ms. Rika Delaunay via email at rika.delaunay@navy.mil. Interested parties responding to this announcement by Friday, November 1 2019 at 2:00 p.m. H.S.T. will be considered.
