The Government intends to procure, under only one responsible source, where no other product will satisfy the agency requirements. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Hawaii is seeking an alternate product comparable to the Locking Manhole Cover R-1751-C manufactured by Neenah Foundry. The alternate product must meet the following requirements/specifications: 1. Round shape 2. Inner lid with rubber gasket seal suitable for water-resistant construction 3. Locking bar with tightening screw that can be locked in place preventing removal by unauthorized personnel. 4. Security saddle plate over eye bolt. When eye bolt is padlocked, saddle plate prevents bolt from being turned so lock bar cannot be removed. This should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the U.S. Government to issue a solicitation. Interested parties with a comparable product meeting the requirements described in this announcement are invited to submit complete information and specifications. Any information provided to the Government in response to this request for information (RFI) will become U.S. Government property and will not be returned. Interested parties shall submit information and specifications to Ms. Rika Delaunay via email at rika.delaunay@navy.mil. Interested parties responding to this announcement by Friday, November 1 2019 at 2:00 p.m. H.S.T. will be considered.
