Subject to FAR Clause 52.215-3, entitled "Solicitation for Information of Planning Purpose," this announcement constitutes a Request for information and planning purposes for Navy Memorial Foundation Planning Services/Meeting Room Services. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. It is not to be construed in any way as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government pay for the information submitted in response. The Government plans to procure this service as Commercial Items as defined in FAR 2.101. Request for Information The government intends to sole source a contract to the Navy Memorial Foundation, which has a relationship with the Navy Memorial Plaza based on the following: The U.S. Navy Memorial Foundation is a non-profit that was formed in 1977, which received the authority to build the U.S. Navy Memorial Plaza at its current location. The Foundation is on-site at the U.S. Navy Memorial Plaza and is a National Park Service partner that maintains and keeps up the site. The U.S. Navy Memorial Foundation makes use of lectern, stage area, audio and visual equipment, teleconferencing equipment, set up of lighting equipment, electrical outlet support, and adequate seating for the number of attendees using Government furnished chairs, flags, facsimile machines and telephones. The U.S. Navy Memorial Foundation also provides indoor lavatory facilities for use during functions.
