This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice for the National Shipbuilding Research Program Advanced Shipbuilding Enterprise (NSRP ASE, hereafter “NSRP”). The NSRP Executive Control Board (ECB) plans to issue, through the NSRP Program Administrator, a Research Announcement (RA) in March 2020 to solicit summary proposals that address the objectives and initiatives in the Program’s Strategic Investment Plan (SIP) and topics identified in the Program’s 2020 Technology Investment Plan (TIP). Links to updated on-line versions of the SIP and TIP on the NSRP.org website and will be included in the Research Announcement. The mission of NSRP to reduce the total ownership cost and improve the capabilities of both United States Government and U.S.-flag commercial ships. The Program accomplishes this mission by providing a collaborative framework to manage, focus, develop, and share research and development and leverage best practices in shipbuilding and ship repair.
