The Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR), in support of the Program Executive Office, Undersea Warfare Systems (PEO UWS), Maritime Surveillance Systems Program Office (PMS 485), is releasing this Request for Information (RFI) to conduct market research for the future acquisition of a Next Generation Surveillance Array (NGSA). The NGSA is a passive towed multi-line acoustic sensor tailored for use within the Surveillance Towed Array Sensor System (SURTASS) Program. The purpose of this market research is to receive industry comments on draft NGSA design documentation, including performance specifications, and assess industry capability to manufacture and provide NGSA systems for fielding on Auxiliary General Ocean Surveillance Ships (T-AGOS) and any SURTASS host platform.
