The project includes all design and construction necessary to convert the Redfish Rocks Galley at NAS-JRB New Orleans from solely a galley operation to a combination of food service and recreational opportunities as described herein. The renovated facility shall remove as many interior walls as possible to create an open environment, while being mindful of the budgetary constraints and noise generation from different activities. The renovation will include the addition of 4 lanes of QubicaAMF Highway 66 mini-string bowling (or approved equal), electrical infrastructure for installation of approximately 15 future arcade games, and the continuation of an MWR food service opportunity that will be able to serve both active duty sailors and other eligible guest. Additionally, contractor shall ensure that the facility is fully ABA accessible to include both the newly renovated spaces as well as existing spaces such as kitchen areas and restrooms. The NAFI’s desire is to leave and re-use as much of the existing kitchen equipment as possible. Requirements stated in the Request for Propsosal (RFP) are minimums. Minor modifications may be made to incorporate comments from approving agencies. Deviations from any RFP requirements should be clearly noted. Work includes but is not limited to all design, demolition, relocation, temporary construction and restoration necessary to produce a complete and usabel facility.
