The MAI Platform and Application Sustainment is a cloud computing environment that provides tools and services that can be configured to automate business processes, integrate with external applications, and provide a responsive layout to users. The MAI platform program is currently in development but the license for the software application have been purchased, allowing applications to be configured within the MAI platform environment. DCMA needs the applications that have already been developed by the software to be sustained within its legacy environment until the MAI platform is fully developed. The legacy environment includes Coldfusion applications, data import/export jobs and Cognos Reporting. DCMA’s legacy environment has a very unique database design, and reporting capability that must remain in place while sustaining its new environment. Due to the unique nature, DCMA Information Technology (DCMAIT) needs services from a company that can provide quality sustainment services and knowledge of the legacy environment, and can integrate the sustainment of the new platform. This uniqueness also includes ensuring both environments (legacy and new) are integrated together until all applications are modernized.
