This is a sources sought notice for market research only, not a solicitation, to identify commercially available crane parts and components for upgrading a Heyl-Patterson 10,000 lb capacity crane at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay within the NAVFAC Southeast Area of Responsibility. The agency is seeking input on whether compatible non-brand-name alternatives exist for the specified Magnetek parts, which must comply with NAVFAC P-307 Weight Handling Program requirements. If compatible generic parts are available, the government may not restrict the purchase to brand name; otherwise, it intends to procure the name-brand parts on a single-source basis. Interested parties are asked to describe their experience with alternative components or provide reasoning for staying with the brand-name parts, with responses limited to PDF attachments of 5 pages and 5MB.
