Contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, supervision and transportation to provide mechanical bedding and subsequent tree planting. All work will be performed on the tornado-damaged area that is located on Campground Road. The tract lies outside the main fence area at NAS Meridian, Lauderdale County, Mississippi. Contractor shall hand plant Loblolly on 6'x 14'spacing (519 trees per acre) using dibble bars. The contractor will make a hole and planting the seedling without J-rooting. The hole will be back bladed and heeled in to eliminate any air pockets around the roots. Loblolly bare-root seedling planting shall occur from December 2019 thru February 2020 unless prevented by unseasonable drought or warm weather preventing dormancy. The date shall be coordinated with the Contracting Officer.
