The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division in China Lake, California, intends to procure technology development for greatly enhanced kinematic capability in next-generation tactical missiles, specifically focusing on maturing high-impulse, energy-tailorable solid propulsion systems for transition into compact weapons like a Compact Air-to-Air Missile (CAAM). The work includes providing a Concept Design with a build-to-print package, identifying technology gaps, conducting component experiments and a manufacturing study, and creating a plan to mature the design for an Engineering and Manufacturing Development program. The performance location is China Lake, California. The contract will use a combination of Cost-Plus Fixed Fee and Firm Fixed Price line items.
