The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis for the following items; Digital Processing Unit 5 EA. This requirement is sole sourced to MIDWEST MICROWAVE SOLUTIONS (MMS), 2000 Progress Drive, Hiawatha, Iowa as the only vendor able that can provide MMS Digital Processing Units. The PU-100 is the digital processing unit for the WRX-118 Receiver. The two devices require each other to function and the design is modular. The Units need to be the same for the detection capabilities and detection accuracy of detected targets affected. Any firms believing that they can provide the MMS Digital Processing Units may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice. The written response shall reference solicitation number N6893623Q0172 and clearly show the firm’s ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the materials without causing programmatic hardship. It is recommended that all interested parties be aware that processing this additional information may take several days and are proactive in maintaining the SAM registrations in an 'Active' status as the government cannot award to an entity without an 'Active' SAM registration.
