The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division at China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis the following: Service/Maintenance for Scanning Electron Microscope (Qty base year and one option year). This is Manufacture sole source to Carl Ziess Microscopy LLC, with competition among companies providing authorized technicians from Carl Zeiss. Complete details will be available in the solicitation. The Request for Quote (RFQ) will be posted on the Contract Opportunities website at http://beta.sam.gov/ on or about 08/12/2022. All responsible sources must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at the following website: https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. Going forward, all new entities registering in GSA's System for Award Management (SAM), as well as existing registrations being updated or renewed, will require the submission of an original, signed notarized letter identifying the authorized Entity Administrator for the entity associated with the Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number. Effective June 11, 2018, entities who create or update their registration in SAM.gov to apply only for federal assistance opportunities such as grants, loans, and other financial assistance programs, have a notarized letter on file within 30 days of registration. This requirement is sole sourced to Carl Zeiss Microscopy LLC, 1 N Broadway STE 1501, White Plains, NY 10601-2335, as the original manufacturer of the equipment and the only authorized service technicians. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any firm believing it can fulfill the requirement identified above may submit a written response to Yvonne Stockwell at Yvonne.c.stockwell.civ@us.navy.mil no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice, which shall be considered by the agency.
