In accordance with FAR 6.203, the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) intends to competitively procure as a total small business set-aside, a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract, to a single awardee for research and development analysis in the areas of air weapons, systems survivability and lethality, systems safety and modeling and simulation verification, validation and accreditation. A Sources Sought was posted to sam.gov on 18 May 2021 under Solicitation number N6893621R0022 and five responses were received. Two small business responses appeared technically capable. Therefore, a total small business set-aside determination has been made. The synopsis was posted on 9 February 2022. This effort provides Research Development Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) analysis to the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) in the areas of air weapons systems survivability; lethality; test and analysis support; Modeling and Simulation (M&S); and M&S Verification, Validation, and Accreditation (VV&A) support. Elements of contract support include Research & Development (R&D) of the following: (1) Navy platform survivability; (2) weapon system lethality and safe escape analysis; (3) survivability simulations; (4) survivability systems engineering analysis; (5) test and analysis support; and (6) the documentation inherent in the engineering or analysis process. A minimum of one (1) Task Order will be ordered on this contract. Interested firms must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at https://sam.gov/ to start doing business with the federal government. Award is anticipated to be on or approximately 27 September 2022. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency.
