The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division (NAWCWD), Point Mugu, CA, intends to award a sole source contract modification under the existing contract N6893621C0010 to the current contractor, HDL Research Lab Inc. (herein referred to as HDL). The contract modification will increase the scope of work by adding an additional quantity of twenty (20) units P/N SR-126A power supplies, specifically designed for the Aircraft Launcher Interface Computer (ALIC), and extend the current ordering period from June 2022 to December 2023. The additioanl units are in support of the Avionics & Mechanical Engineering Support Branch at NAWCWD Point Mugu, CA. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. HDL is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the SR-126A ALIC Power Supply and was certified and qualified by the USAF as the approved source supply for SR-126A Power Supply. HDL is the only source with the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical expertise to continue building the SR-126A ALIC Power Supply and the only source with the technical data package, facilities and capabilities required to manufacture the item for the Avionics program. This pre-solicitation notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any firm believing it can fulfill the requirement identified above may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 15 days after the date of publication of this notice, which shall be considered by the agency. The written response shall reference solicitation number N6893620R0078 and provide a capability statement that clearly indicates the firm’s experience, assets, background, and ability to perform the required work without compromising the quality, accuracy, reliability, and schedule.
