This requirement is advertised as COMPETITIVE. The Naval Air Warfare Center - Weapons Division (NAWCWD) is issuing solicitation number, N6893620Q0339, as a small-business set aside, request for quote (RFQ) for parts to upgrade its high performance computing (HPC) cluster computer to further the support of executing simulation and numerical analysis efforts. A Brand Name Justification and Approval (J&A) was approved on 27 August 2020 in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Accordingly, pursuant to FAR 11.105(a)(1), the particular brand name, product, or feature is essential to the Government’s requirements, and market research indicates other companies’ similar products, or products lacking the particular feature, do not meet, or cannot be modified to meet, the agency’s needs. Effective June 11, 2018, entities who create or update their registration in SAM.gov to apply only for federal assistance opportunities such as grants, loans, and other financial assistance programs, have a notarized letter on file within 30 days of registration. Additionally, Effective June 29, 2018, all non-Federal entities who create or update their registration in SAM.gov, have a notarized letter on file within 30 days of registration. It is recommended that all interested parties be aware that processing this additional information may take several days and are proactive in maintaining the SAM registrations in an "Active" status as the government cannot award to an entity without an "Active" SAM registration.
