The Naval Supply Systems Command, Fleet, Logistics Center Jacksonville, FL intends to solicit a requirement for High Speed Heavy Duty Lathes for the Southeast Regional Maintenance Center, Mayport, FL. This requirement will be a competitive small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 333517 Machine Tool Manufacturing, for which the Small Business size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is for delivery of initial supplies, and a service portion for installation/maintenance for a base year and 4 option years. Solicitation will be posted to NECO on 16 June 2020. The Government anticipates award of a single firm fixed price contract. The solicitation will be posted under solicitation number N6883620Q0163. The Government will NOT distribute hard-copy solicitations or amendments. The Government will not mail, fax, or e-mail the solicitation or any amendments thereto. Subsequent amendments, if any, will be transmitted solely via the NECO or Contract Opportunities web site. This is a Sources Sought Notice (SSN) to determine the availability of potential sources for Commercial High Speed, Heavy Duty, Precision Lathes for Southeast Regional Maintenance Center (SERMC). A firm fixed price contract is anticipated. Additional detailed information is provided on the attached Draft Description of Requirement (DOR). As part of its market research, Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville (FLCJ) is issuing this SSN to determine the availability of contractors capable of fulfilling the Government’s requirements. The Government may use the responses to this SSN for information and planning purposes. The material description describes only the currently contemplated possible scope of supplies and may vary from the work scope in a final DOR included in any Request for Quotes (RFQ). NAVSUP FLCJ is seeking vendors capable of provide lathes and servicing meeting the specifications of the DOR. This is a “brand name or equal” DOR, and any vendor believing their product to be “equal” to the specified brand name product is invited to submit a response. Please include all relevant specification documentation to allow comparison of the “equal” products. Offerors possessing the requisite skills, resources and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirement are invited to respond to this SSN via the submission of a capability statement and details of the items offered. Please restrict all responses to non-proprietary information.
