The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis, and to solicit and negotiate the proposed purchase order on a competitive basis for the BRIDGEPORT MILLING MACHINE OVERHAUL listed under the authority implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) by FAR Part 12 and 13. Offeror’s must be registered in the System for Award Management Registration (SAM) database prior to submission of an offer to be considered for award of any DoD contract. This may be accomplished electronically at http://www.sam.gov. This procurement is a total set-aside for small business under the authority of FAR Part 52.219-6. ***Basis for Award*** Solicitation closing date/time is firm; proposals received after the deadline will not be accepted. Your quote must contain enough technical information i.e. data sheet, drawing, specification, etc. for evaluation. Your quote will only be evaluated based on the information provided. The award will be made on the basis of lowest evaluated price of proposals meeting or exceeding the acceptability standards. The Core is the original machine currently in the machine shop that will be taken away to be replaced with the new refurbished Bridgeport. 2. The Accurite Mill Power control is not installed on the current machine. A swap out of an equal machine is acceptable. 3. Section 3.1 includes the machine base/chassis in "Minimum Machine Overhaul Requirements", would the customer like a brand new base/chassis or a refurbishment of the existing structure? The basis/chassis can be used from a different/identical machine or refurbished from the original core 4. Will a forklift, or any material moving equipment will be available on site?
