REQUIREMENT: Commander Fleet Readiness Center (COMFRC) Patuxent River, Maryland intends to solicit through a combined synopsis/solicitation, per FAR 12.603, commercial services from Woodward, Inc., per 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.”, as implemented by FAR 6.302?1. The scope of the work includes maintenance, repair, and overhaul services of TF34-100A Engine Main Fuel Control components for the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE), located in Jacksonville, FL. Services will be in direct support of the industrial facility that reworks, repairs, and overhauls the TF34-100A Engine for the United States Air Force. The FRCSE does not have the in-house capability to perform Main Fuel Control (MFC) overhauls. The FRCSE therefore requires Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) assistance with the overhaul of these TF34-100A engine components. This combined synopsis/solicitation notice is a follow-up from sources sought request for information, N68520-24-RFPREQ-HJ00000-0023, issued on 20 October 2023 pursuant to DFARS PGI 206.302-1. The place of performance will be in Loves Park, IL. This action is being solicited on a sole source basis, to Woodward, Inc. 5001 N 2nd Street, Loves Park, Ill 61111?5808 as they are the original designer, developer and manufacturer of the MFC and is the only source with the requisite knowledge, experience and technical expertise to repair the MFC in support of the TF34?100A engine.
