This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6 for a proposed contract action is for services for which the Government may solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.501(a) in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 1901. FRCSE intends to issue a firm-fixed price contract with a NAICS code of 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) on a sole source basis to Struers Inc., 24766 Detroit Rd., Westlake, OH 44145-2525. The ordering period for this contract will be for four years with anticipated start date on 24 July 2023. The place of performance will be in Jacksonville, Florida. NOTE: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government does not intend to fund the development or qualification of other sources for fulfilling this requirement, as the work listed requires a substantial initial investment. However, the Government may consider any capability statements received by the close of the synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
