The Fleet Readiness Center Procurement Group Patuxent River, MD 20650 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Nikon Metrology, Inc. (CAGE Code: 1L4U8) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Command Fleet Readiness Center has a requirement for the Preventative Maintenance of Nikon XTV-160 X-Ray Machines. Nikon Metrology, Inc. is the OEM to the equipment and components. Nikon Metrology Preventative Maintenance services are the only services that can meet operational and reliability requirements. Their services are the only services that can maintain configuration control throughout the repair process due to the uniqueness of the configurations of the Nikon XTV-160 X-Ray Machine. No other services can be used as it would require modifications to existing components, making Nikon Metrology Inc. the only source that can meet the Government's specific requirements and mission. There are no distributors available as the manufacturer only directly sells this service. For this reason, the government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis from Nikon Metrology, Inc. (CAGE Code: 1L4U8). THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within Three (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
