The Commander Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) Procurement Group, Patuxent River, MD 20670 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Textron Ground Support Equipment, Inc., on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The FRC Aviation Support Equipment, Solomons, MD, has a requirement for rear axle parts to maintain, repair and overhaul equipment for multiple agencies. Textron GSE Inc. (CAGE Code 4TVG2) is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the Axle, rear drive, P/N 30-20-0001, NIIN 01-563-9206. Textron GSE Inc. (CAGE Code 4TVG2) owns the proprietary rights to the detailed product drawings for the Axle, rear drive, P/N 30-20-0001, NIIN 01-563-9206 and does not have any authorized distributors for this equipment. The Government does not possess the technical data. For this reason, the Government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis from Textron GSE Inc. (CAGE Code 4TVG2). THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within three (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered. The Statement of Work for this notice is listed as an attachment to this notice. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Without the drawings and technical specifications the government is not able to evaluate if similar parts are technically acceptable for this application. Textron has no distributors.
