The Commander Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) Procurement Group, Patuxent River, MD 20670 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Ultra Electronics ICE, Inc., 2700 Amherst Ave, Manhattan, Kansas, 66502 (Cage Code: 5Y111) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The FRC Aviation Support Equipment, Solomons, MD, has a requirement for services of Tear Down, Test, Evaluation and Repair of the Fuel Quantity Test Set TTU597/E, P/N BC849A6010-000. ULTRA ELECTRONICS ICE (CAGE Code 5Y111) is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). ULTRA ELECTRONICS ICE (CAGE Code 5Y111) owns the proprietary rights to the engineering data and detailed product drawings for the Fuel Quantity Test Set TTU597/E, Part Number (PN) BC849A6010-000 and does not have any authorized distributors for this equipment. The Government does not possess the technical data. For this reason, the Government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis from Ultra Electronics ICE, Inc. (CAGE: 5Y111). THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within three (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered. The Statement of Work for this notice is listed as an attachment to this notice. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
